This shot was meant to capture her birthday dress, but Samantha kept bending down and twisting when we made her laugh. Oh well. Awkward pose, but you get the picture.
Mama and Sammi are ready for the Ren Fest. At first, I wasn't going to dress up for it, but after Samantha got her dress on, she wanted to know where mine was. . .
Samantha dons her new crown of flowers.
Llamas are usually a little too wily to ride, but this one seemed content enough.
Llama-Schwama. LET'S RIDE THE ELEPHANT, MOM! And in case you wonder what a Mahoot says to keep his elephant in line, it's "heel," just like other four-legged friends.
It didn't come across despite my efforts at perspective in this photo, but this horse, named Pith's Magic, was about the biggest horse I've ever seen. That's saying a lot when you consider how many horses I've seen. I'd estimate his height to be 18.2hh, or about 6 feet, 2 inches at the shoulder. He was docile as a lamb, and LOVED having his neck scratched under his mane. He leaned into me like a dog as long as I scratched. It was love at first sight.
